US-based Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Victoria Kimani, has shared 10 tips she believes can help women keep themselves safe during these trying times with the rising cases of femicide in Kenya.

The 'Prokoto' crooner also urged women to stop being so readily available and vulnerable to men regardless of their relationship with the said men.

"I can only hope to equip ladies to stop allowing yourselves to be so vulnerable to these men... yes, even the men that you are currently in "love" with," started off the veteran artist.

Victoria went on to list 10 tips she noted that at this point, she was tired of trying to educate men and plead with them for humanity and it was up to women to pick up the mantle and ensure their safety.

"1) Always Secure your own finances & be quiet about it, he doesn't need to know everything that you have.

2) Going on a date? Carry a weapon, pepper spray, pocket knife, blade, I don't care," part of her post read.

The artist emphasized that women needed to always be prepared for the worst because abusive men have always and will always be there. Just as life is yin and yang.
