'Rush' hitmaker Ayra Starr is the pure example of delulu and she has no issue with the world knowing that.

The 21-year-old got nominated for this year's 66th Annual Grammy Awards Ceremony. and she is as sure as the sky is blue that she is going to bag the newly created “Best African Performance” category.

Ayra is so sure of herself that she already has an acceptance speech, Grammy gown and slay walk (for when she goes up to the podium to collect her award) all locked and loaded just waiting for the 5th of February.

"When I win this, there is this Chinese restaurant I love going to... that is what I'm going to do first," started off the Nigerian artist during an interview she had with Cool FM Lagos.

Elated about the prospect of being a Grammy Award-winning artist Ayra noted her delulu nature had her so confident that she wasn't even using the word 'if'.

She went on to add;

"Once I win, I'm going to go there and eat, I will sit down, breathe in and out, and eat. Then I will video call my mom and my dad,"

Responding to the query of how prepared she was for the event, the 21-year-old star noted that she has everything ready just awaiting the show.

"I have my speech already. I have everything done already. It is quite long because you know it is the first African category.

They just introduced that category... like I already know my walk and my outfit, I have practised that. I don't even want to say if because I know I'm going to win by God's grace" Ayra animatedly added.

The 66th Grammy Awards is set to hold on February 5 in Crypto Arena in Los Angeles USA and it will be hosted by South African comedian Trevor Noah.

Some of the other artists nominated for this year's awards include Kenyan rapper Octopizzo, who is up for 2 nominations under the following categories, 'Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical' and 'R&B, Rap and Spoken Word' category as well as Davido who is up for his first nomination as well.

Meanwhile, a total of 122 songs have been submitted for consideration for nomination in the newly created “Best African Performance” which Ayra is coveting.
