BET award-winning singer and songwriter Austin Willis Chimano popularly known as just Chimano has announced his solo career full throttle promising his fans a new single on the 9th of August.

Sharing on his socials, the former Sauti Sol band member posted a snippet of his unreleased song dubbed 'Do You Remember,' which is mixed and mastered by his former band member Fancy Fingers.

Captioning the post, Chimano announced he was turning a new page in his career adding how excited he was to take his fans on this new journey.

"Here we go, my new journey begins ... I'm so grateful for how far life has brought me. I've lived for 37 years and what a ride it has been!

My previous chapter defined and filled me but like a chapter read, we finished reading that one and it's time to turn a new page," the vocalist wrote in part.

He added a message of gratitude as he addressed his fanbase promising moving forward things were going to be uniquely different.

"I'm not only grateful to still be able to share my voice, an Amazing God-given gift. With chimandems, now we get to build community - do us, thrive, and rise on our own terms," his post went on to read.

Touching on his time with the Grammy-recognized music group, Chimano noted it had been a delight. Adding that it was time for him to find his footing now as a solo artist just like Bien and Savara had been doing.

"Being part of @sautisol was the greatest privilege of my life, and now I'm off on this amazing journey that I'm looking forward to ...

"Do You Remember" is my first single and a lead-up to a number of releases I plan for the year. So legooo ... Chimano as an individual is a new artist.

See you on the 9th of August and then on and on and on ... " the last of his post read.
