Nigerian star Fireboy DML is set to thrill his fans in Nairobi, Kenya! According to a statement sent to newsroooms, this event is set to take place on July 10th, 2021 at Ngong Race Course.
Born Adedamola Adefolahan, Fireboy DML acknowledged that the love of arts grew on him, as he is not from a family of artists. While he has written poems for most of his adult life, he knew that he could sing since he was 12 years old.
He always considered singing something he could do but not as a serious talent and not something he could even make money from. While he always wrote poems and some song lyrics, it was at the university where he embraced his talent, thus started singing at a very tender age in churches and schools.
While studying at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, he started manifesting his love for music and he became widely known in the school. In October 2018, he was signed into YBNL by Olamide.
2019 was also one of the best years for this youngster as he released his most famous single titled “Jealous“. The song gained publicity and was widely accepted by his fans and lovers of Nigerian Afro-pop music in East Africa. The single has also made it to the top 5 of almost all listings and music billboard charts.
His second studio album was recently considered for Grammy Awards nomination for 2021, as world best album.
