Kiimani residents have all the bragging rights now as it is among the 51 coolest neighborhoods in the world in 2022.
The Timeout index 2022, does surveys on the world's coolest neighborhoods and Nairobi's Kilimani area is top based on fun, food, culture and community.
City dwellers and experts were polled and it ranked among the 51 coolest neighborhoods. Timeout in its explanation said;
"Every year, we canvas thousands of city-dwellers around the world in our Time Out Index survey. As always, this year we asked them (among other things) about the coolest spots in their city right now."
Timeout also relied on expert opinion about the 51 neighborhood
"And for the fifth year running, we combined their views with expert input from our global network of local editors and writers, to compile our fifth annual ranking of the world’s coolest neighbourhoods."
Here's a reason for selecting Kilimani according to the survey
It has much-loved local shops, restaurants, bars and creative spaces
"They’re areas with accessible, cutting-edge culture and nightlife; brilliant and affordable food and drink; lively street life and big community vibes. They’re distinctive districts that you can walk across in half an hour or less, but could spend a whole day or more exploring."

The only other African neighborhood to be mentioned in the same list is Sea Point in South Africa.- A beachfront area, and FESTAC TOWN in Lagos Nigeria.
