Sylvester Stallone's wife files for divorce
The couple has been married for 25 years
Sylvester Stallone's wife, Jennifer Flavin, has filed for divorce after 25 years of being married to the movie star.
Flavin, the wife of Sylvester Stallone, has been married to him for 25 years.
According to online court documents, Flavin, 54, submitted a petition "for dissolution of marriage" on Friday in Palm Beach County.
According to court documents obtained by The Palm Beach Post, the former model said the marriage was "irretrievably destroyed."
The petition added that the famous thespian had engaged in the "Intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate."
The document went on to state that Flavin asked the court to "be compensated and made whole by receiving and unequal distribution of the marital assets in her favour."
The entrepreneur is also seeking for the exclusive use of the Palm Beach estate during the duration of the divorce proceedings.
The actor's rep, Michelle Bega told USA Today that the Rambo actor had said, "I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues."
Flavin had hinted that all wasn't well in the marriage in an August 10th photo where she celebrated the 3 daughters she shares with Stallone.
In her Instagram message she wrote, "These girls are my priority ❤️ nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever🤍🙏🏻 #truth #family #forever,"
Her girls responded in kind with Sophia writing, "You are our rock, cheerleader, and most incredible mom. We are so lucky to have you."
Sistine added that Flavin was the "Strongest woman she knew." Scarlet on her part put up a heart emoji.
According to People magazine, Stallone and Flavin initially ran into each other in 1988 at a West Hollywood restaurant.
Stallone was a well-known action movie star with a history of extremely public failed romances, and Flavin was a 19-year-old model.
People claimed that Stallone's 10-year marriage to Sasha Czack, his first wife, came to an end in 1984 amid allegations of adultery.
Soon after, Stallone fell in love with and wed the Danish actress and model Brigitte Nielsen; however, their marriage ended abruptly after only 19 months in 1987.
Stallone said that his two failed marriages had left him feeling "battered," "scarred," "trashed," and "humiliated" - not the best way to start a relationship.
