You might ask why I'm I being specific about cocktails, though... Apparently, it's questionable for a man to order such "unmanly drinks" and Cate Sidede decided to find out why.
A cocktail is a beverage that contains two or more ingredients and at least one of those ingredients must contain alcohol. It is usually lighter in terms of the alcohol content and percentage, in comparison to pure distilled spirits or liqueurs.
Basically, cocktails are generic alcoholic mixed drinks that are mostly drunk by women, because not only do they have a low amount of alcohol, but they often look girlish and colorful.
This has made it a taboo or an awkward thing for men to drink cocktails, especially when in a club or at outdoor activities because it apparently makes them look like sissies.
Cate Sidede decided to have a conversation with her listeners on SidedeO'clock, where she asked the ladies if they would allow their guys to order cocktails and if there are dudes who do order cocktails when they go for parties or clubbing.

Most ladies felt that it's not a good idea for their boyfriends to buy cocktails especially in the presence of other people since they would look weak because it's apparently considered to be a feminine drink.
On the other hand, the dudes seem to conflict with the ladies, as some of them said there's no big deal, while others felt that it's embarrassing.
