Gengetone singer, Stevo Simple Boy, shared some pictures of his humble life in Kayole.

The pictured shared on his social media platform for his new video, shows the artist in a single room.

From the photo-video project, Simple Boy showed his followers a bad looking toilet at the house he used to stay where he said that the particular room was still his bathroom and he would fetch water from a basin and take a shower, only on the good days because the water was not always readily available.

"This is the toilet and bathroom. If you need to shower, you must put water in a basin. Sometimes, there was no water for a month. On the good days, water was available on Thursdays. We used to buy water outside," he said while displaying a deplorable toilet."

"My life in Kayole before things got better. Nashukuru sana wakenya kwa kunisapoti sasa maisha imeanza kubadilika mzidi kunisapoti Mungu awabariki sana (I am very grateful to Kenyans for supporting me as my life is changing, God bless you so much)."

He then showed off his single-roomed house with a bed and sofa set.

Stivo thanked Kenyans for supporting his music career and enabling him to move out.

Before moving to Kayole, Simple Boy used to live in Kibra where in a previous Interview with Betty Kyalo, Simple Boy introduced his fans to his Kibra home.

His house had a couch and a kitchen section where some utensils could be seen.

Simple Boy narrated how life had always been tough for him and his family as he was born with eight siblings but one has since passed on.

Their original home is in Oyugis, Homa Bay County, and the family only moved to the city in order to make their ends meet.

He said that when they moved to Kibra is when he started learning much but life was too challenging for them and they would even sleep hungry at times.
