Kiss FM presenter Oga Obinna has defended his close friend and Lang'ata Member of Parliament (MP) Jalang'o after being branded a traitor over his State House visit.

During an interview with Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi, Obinna said that the bashing of the MP was unnecessary.

He went on to defend the legislator has been an active member in ODM but all that was being watered down with one trip to the statehouse.

"Everything is now being flipped and the bashing is really unnecessary, especially from fans who don't know the real information," he added.

The comedian went ahead to condemn everyone who was attacking the MP saying his visit was aimed at discussing development for Lang'ata purposes.

"Sometimes just let people be and sort out their issues and try not to focus on positive things," the media personality said.

To shield his friend, the radio presenter added that "Jalas didn't have bad intentions because if he had, he could have even gone at night."

The former radio presenter went to meet the president at the State House without acknowledgment from his party, not even the party leader.

Regarding asking for permission from the party the radio host said, "I do not know the rules for politics and I don't know how things work since politics politricks and today someone might be good and next day the opposite.

But if it were me since I respect my bosses I'd have asked for permission."

He concluded by saying that Jalas is a very careful man and that he is not sure if his life is in danger or not but since there are many fanatics and goons who always react without thinking he should be extremely careful.
