During the Morning Kiss, Kwambox was agitated with Kenyans who add others in WhatsApp groups to help them fund their weddings.

She narrated how yesterday someone put her in a group for a wedding committee

She exited the group but to her surprise this morning she was back in it again.

Kwambox continued to explain how weddings were a way for families to come together and celebrate the delightful moment.

But now people want grand weddings that they cannot afford leading to them asking people to help fund it.

Obinna shared that when it comes to weddings we help the bride get her dream ceremony.

“There's power in numbers,” he said.

He went ahead to say that we do weddings together as a committee.

When more people help fund it the bride can have an exquisite gown and a grand wedding, kitu smart.

Kwambox countered saying people wanting glamorous weddings are buying into an idea that one saw in a TV show.

She also shared that people are even becoming disrespectful about it.

You come across someone at work whom you do not know well enough, and they tell you about a funding group for someone's wedding.

“Work within your means,” She commented.

She asked Obinna if she is weird for not wanting to be in a wedding fund group to which he responded, “Yes, and very selfish”

She explained to him that if you cannot fund half of your wedding, it is not okay to ask people to reach into their pockets to fund it.

“If you can't afford your wedding why not do a mass wedding?” asked Kwambox.

The beautiful host also referred to the committee WhatsApp group as begging.

“It's asking my friends who want to help. They are just waiting for me to ask,” mentioned Obinna.

Kwambox also shared that her birthday is coming up this May.

She joked around about opening a group to fund the occasion.

Have you ever been in a wedding committee and would you do it again?
