Controversial comedian and digital content creator Eric Omondi has yet again come to the rescue of another distressed Kenyan.

By now I am assuming you have all seen the video of the man who was wailing in court after being fined Sh. 25,000 or 3 months in prison after being charged with accounts of road recklessness.

The said man broke down into tears and kneeled pleading with the magistrate and eventually slumped into a pile on the floor pleading with the court for a lesser charge pointing out that he was not well off and could not afford the hefty price and didn't want to go to jail.

Fredrick Munene Mbaru (the accused) was charged before Milimani Senior principal magistrate Esther Kimilu with driving an uninsured motorcycle.

In another count, Mbaru was charged with driving a motorcycle without a driving licence hence putting the lives of other road users at peril.

State prosecutor Ann Munyua further told the court the accused had failed to honour earlier summons at the traffic court. The accused pleaded guilty to the offences.

The judge however, wasn't moved by the theatrics of Fredrick. (She has probably seen a fair share of those while at work) but Eric Omondi was and had the officers subdue him and take him back to the cells,

Upon coming across the video, he shared it to his socials promising to pay Fredrick's fine and get him out of jail.

“If you know this guy please connect me with him juu ataenda jela bure.

This is what Kenyans are going through out there. It is unfortunate that an adult has to publicly cry for help.

I will come through for him but then we have to remember there are millions of his kind out there,” said Omondi.

Before noting that come next week he would resume his bi weekly release of petty offenders from prison.
