Vera Sidika Mung'asia and Brown Mauzo announced their split on August 30.
Mauzo on his Instagram shared a statement that suggested it was a joint decision.
Disbelieving Kenyans reacted to his announcement suggesting it was clout chasing.
He reacted sharply to one fan who told him "Niajee broo hii ni kiki ama ni ukweli juu sai baby mama 4 brooo umekuwa king solomon"
Brown was not amused by the idea that he could be clout chasing "shida yako iko wapi? kuna dadako hapo? kwanza nataka kuongeza uko na sister?"

Vera met Mauzo at a time when he was said to be dating Amber Ray.
Vera denied breaking them up saying Brown and Amber were working together.
“Never Done this nonsense in my life! I never dated a man in a relationship at all. Shindwe!!
My hubby was extremely single when he met me and I was single as well. The said lady has never been in a romantic relationship with him either, it was purely business. You know showbiz. We were even dating when the Kiki was still going on. I hope this answers you all curious folks. Congrats to her finding someone” explained Vera.
Vera got married to Mauzo in October 2020.
She said they were legally married but a ceremony remained to be performed.
She got pregnant with their first child in 2021. They delivered a baby girl named Princess Asia Brown on October 20, 2021.

In 2022, she got pregnant for a second time, welcoming a baby boy named Ice Brown in 2023 March.
This second pregnancy was a surprise as she wanted to have cosmetic surgery.

In April 2023, Vera edited her Instagram bio to remove the title Wife.
She also unfollowed Mauzo and deleted pictures from her social media feed. This caught the eye of netizens who said she had 'broken up' with him for clout chasing.
He followed suit, deleting pictures but retaining those of her from a hospital bed where she delivered their son Ice Brown.
In a message in May 2023, she defended herself from the allegations that it was clout chasing.
She insisted they had split, and would never use her relationship to chase clout as it is outdated and overused.
“Break-up clouts are lame, overused, and retired. I have never done a breakup clout in over 5 years. I always have unique ideas if I want to chase clout and y’all know it, not this. Please just stop forcing it. Not everything in life revolves around clout. I can never do a breakup clout, anything else but that. Whatever happens, happens in real life,” she stated.
The final nail on the head was on August 30, when Brown announced their split. The breakup announcement on his social media
"I wanted to take a moment to share some personal news. After much consideration, Vera Sidika and I have decided to part ways. Our journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments, but we have reached a point where it's best for both of us and our babies, Asia Brown and Ice Brown, to move forward separately," he shared.
"We want to thank you all for your unwavering love and support throughout our relationship. Your encouragement has meant the world to us. As we embark on this new chapter, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this time," he added.
"Though our paths may diverge, we will always cherish the memories we've created together. We both remain grateful for the lessons learned and the growth we've experienced. Our focus now is on healing and embracing the future with open hearts. Thank you once again for being a part of our journey," he concluded.
