Veteran RnB artist Nelly has confirmed that he is dating songstress Ashanti.
The two have rekindled their romance 10 years after they first broke up, sounds like a plot for those Christmas movies.
Earlier this year rumours of the former lovers being an item started swirling. This is after the two were spotted together on different occasions but neither one of the celebrities confirmed or denied the rumours.
However, now 48-year-old Nelly is letting the whole world know Ashanti is his boo and they are both beyond happy.
Speaking during an interview with Love and Hip Hop stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, on the show Boss Moves with Rasheeda Nelly affirmed their revived romance stating,
"'Yeah, we cool again. 'I think it surprised both of us though. It wasn't anything that I don't think was planned.'" the 'Dilemma' hitmaker said.
Nelly strongly feels the extended period of separation has been beneficial for their reunion.
According to the Grammy award-winning artist, the time apart has enabled them to understand each other and their relationship better.

"I think we both were pretty much doing what we do, but sometimes being separate you understand one another more.
You be like, 'Yo, let me see exactly what they see.' You know, because we all can be defensive sometimes in our own relationships. We know we wrong but we going to stand on it. But we all a victim to that," Nelly to Rasheeda.
Before this the couple had started dropping more public Easter eggs confirming they were dating.
The most recent and "daring" one was just last month.
In August, Nelly posted a video on his own Instagram Story of the two of them cozying up together while jamming to Usher’s“Nice & Slow.”
“I just want to take it nice and slow... See I’ve been waiting for this for so long.” the two beautifully sang in the video.
The duo dated on and off from 2003 to 2013 after meeting at a press conference for the 45th Annual Grammy Awards.
The possibility of the pair reuniting seemed unlikely after Ashanti, 42, said she had been “betrayed” by Nelly on The Meredith Vieira Show in 2015.
