In Pictures: How Njambi ‘Njambi’ Koikai memorial service went down and celebrities present

Family, friends, and several prominent personalities on Thursday, June 13th, 2024 gathered at the Nairobi Chapel, Ngong Road for the memorial service of the late reggae MC and media personality Jahmby ‘Njambi’ Koikai.

Tributes poured in, with many recalling her vibrant spirit, her infectious energy, and her commitment to making a difference.

At the memorial service, creatives, colleagues, and fans came together to celebrate the life of a woman who touched so many lives.

 

Among those who attended Jahmby’s memorial service were; CNN’s Larry Madowo, Politician Jimmy Wanjigi, Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, Anyiko Awoko, Chris Da Bass, Tallia Oyando, Wilbroda, Larry Asego among others.

Njambi Koika will finally be laid to rest on Friday the 14th at Lang'ata cemetery from 10:00 am.

During the Memorial service, Njambi Koikai’s father Daniel Koikai apologized for not being fully present in her life when she was alive.

 

He acknowledged his shortcomings as a parent as he eulogized his daughter with a heavy heart.

“Dear Njambi my daughter, the time has come for me to atone for my acts of omission or commission on your final journey from this world it has been one of the most difficult episodes in my life, especially for your close family members - your mother, sister aunts, uncles and colleagues in the media and friends in and out of the country,” Daniel Koikai said.

“I will remember you in many ways and I ask here in public where I may not have fulfilled my duties as your Dad please forgive me, forgive me, and forgive me. And I pray that your soul will rest in Eternal Peace. Till we meet again bye-bye,”.
