Kenyan YouTuber turned rapper Diana Marua aka Diana B has made history becoming the first female Kenyan artiste and content creator to be awarded the prestigious Golden Plaque by the YouTube community.
This is after she clocked 1 million subscribers on the streaming platform.
Ms Marua shared her joy after achieving the new milestone – thanking her fans and followers for always supporting her craft.
She becomes the first Kenyan content creator to achieve this new milestone.

Words fail me to express my gratitude to every single person who watches my content. I started Content Creation to Inspire, Educate, and Connect with my people across the Globe. #DIANABAHATI is not just a YouTube channel, it is a FORCE 💪,” she said in part.
Marua joined the streaming platform in June 2019 but became serious about creating content in 2020.

“I opened this channel in July 2019, I became serious about creating content in 2020 ( During Covid). We hit 1 Million Subscribers on February 17th, 2024. It’s taken 5 years of hard work, commitment and resilience. It has taken an Entire Nation to get this far. To everyone who watches and supports our content, this Golden Button is our WIN,” Marua added.
“You made this happen! I want to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart. With sooo many ups and downs, we did not lose focus. The family is still growing and all I can say is, I value every single one of you. The Sky is not the Limit. Let’s keep growing. I have Nothing but Love for you. Dee Nation, God Bless You all. She also thanked her husband Bahati for being her biggest support system in everything she does.

Bahati also penned a congratulatory message to his wife saying he is proud of her new achievement.
"Congratulations my love… you deserve this… I am proud to have a hardworking wife like you… I am happy to be called your husband ❤️,” Bahati shared.
