Diamond Platnumz's hitsong 'Mtasubiri' has been banned by the Tanzanian Communication Authority (TCRA).

According to them, the ban was caused by a scene showing Zuchu in church singing in the choir and then rans out to see Diamond has caused mixed reactions.

Diamond has fetaured Zuchu in this song that is already at 10 million Youtube views.

In an Instagram post, Zuchu couldn't understand why the song was banned and gave reasons to how artistes are being hindered from expressing creativity in their work.

Diamond has also responded in an emotional Instagram post;

"Najiuliza kuna baya lolote limefanyika kwenye hio scene? Mlivaa vimini? hapana!… Nlitwerk ama Mliimba matusi humo kanisani? Hapana!.. Mlivuta sigara au bangi humo? Hapana!… Mlikiss ama Kunywa Pombe humo Hapana!…"

(I'm asking myself what I did wrong in this scene. Did they wear miniskirts? No. Did they twerk or make verbal abuse in church? No. Did you smoke cigarettes or marijuana in there? No. Did you kiss or consume alcohol? No.)

He went on to explain the scene;

"Simu iliita, ulipokelea ndani? Hapana…je kushoot kanisani ni sisi wa kwanza? hapana! Kuna wengine walishoot Videos na Movie tena wao walifanya kwa kulidhalilisha kabisa kanisa… Nyimbo zao Zili fungiwa??? hapana! …."

(When the phone rang, did she pick it up inside the church? Are we the first ones to shoot in a church? There are other who've shot videos and movies inside churches and have done things that are disrespectful. Did their songs get banned? No.)

The singer said this was part of the reason he refused to be part of awards that are organised by BASATA (Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa) the National Arts Council.

"Halafu kesho utaniuliza kwanini Nilikataa kushiriki Tuzo za Basata…NCHI ya Wenyewe hii Zuuh… Kikubwa Mungu na Mashabiki wanatupenda hio inatosha…tuendelee kuwawakilishia Taifa lao..."

(And then, they will ask me why I refused to be part of the awards. This is someone else's country. What matters is that God and our fans love us. Lets continue representing their country.)

The song is off Diamond's latest EP 'First Of All'
