British recording and performing artist Harry Styles was sadly forced to cancel his Denmark concert just hours as he was scheduled to perform following a mass shooting in a mall in Copenhagen.
Harry shared that he was beyond devastated by the incident. In a statement that he shared on Twitter he said, "I'm heartbroken along with the people of Copenhagen. I adore this city. The people are so warm and full of love."
He went on to add, "I'm devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I'm sorry we couldn't be together. Please look after each other. H.""
Following a yet to be identified gunman opening fire at Field's shopping center, (which is located less than 2 football fields in distance away from the venue where Harry was supposed to perform yesterday that night) Harry was forced to cancel his concert.
The "Adore You" singer was scheduled to perform at Copenhagen's Royal Arena on Sunday as part of his, "Love On Tour".
Police say the shooter was a 22-year-old Danish man, and they believe he acted alone.
However, his motive behind the attack is not yet clear but the authorities have stated that they have not ruled out terrorism.
Because honestly to me that is all that was, an act of terrorism because not only did the gunman take three lives but three other people were severely injured and there is also the mass property distraction he caused and the grief and fear that he instilled among the people of Copenhagen.
According to footage recovered from the mall, it is believed the gunman entered the mall with a rifle and then began firing randomly at people inside the mall.
My big question remains how he was able to access one of the biggest shopping malls in Scandinavia carrying such a conspicuous riffle with him? Owing to the fact that I know most malls do have mall security and sensors at the entrance.
Big heartfelt condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. And love and peace to all those affected by the act of violence.
