List: Celebrities banned from buying Ferrari cars

It isn’t just money, but a potential Ferrari customer is vetted for their public image, their affiliation to the brand, their ability to keep the car maintained and running well, and, their capacity to buy more Ferrari models in the future.

You know how we always assume that celebrities ( especially international ones) are immune to a lot of things and get a lot of rich people's privileges. Well, Italian automotive manufacturer Ferrari just put a big cock on that notion!

The international luxury car brand (Ferrari) just issued a list of A-list celebrities who are no longer allowed to purchase their coveted rides.

Yes, you are reading that correctly. Just as hotels reserve rights to admission it seems brands can choose whom to sell or not sell to as well.

Ferrari's spokesperson while issuing the brief said that the blacklisted celebrities were on the list for, "violating the highly-respected ethical code of vehicle maintenance, not taking care of their Ferraris or from how they've treated other special edition car brands."

Well here is a list of A-list people whom Ferrari said you can keep your money:

1) Justin Bieber

2) Kim Kardashian

3) Tyga

4) 50 Cent

5) Nicholas Cage

6) Floyd Mayweather

7) Chris Harris

8) Deadmau5

Unlike most companies that get celebrities to publicize them, going to the extent of giving them freebies so that they can pose with them the most famous sports cars in the world, Ferrari promotes the exclusivity of their vehicles by using several criteria to limit the purchase of their automobiles.

Other than how fat your pockets are or the social status that one holds, Ferrari looks for customers who are passionate about their cars.

Even for the purchase of a higher-production model, Ferrari often demands to see a history of ownership before allowing customers to buy a new one.

You may be filthy rich but unless you're purchasing a used car ( which also has some restrictions if you're dealing with a dealership store) you'll be on the waiting list for a long long time especially if you're looking to score your first ride.

An established relationship with a local dealer is a must. For the first-time buyer, if you've never owned a Ferrari, you've got a slim chance of walking out of the showroom with a new one.

On top of that, many dealers won't take any buyer under the age of 40 seriously. That's another reason why the company has serious reservations about selling to influencers.

For limited edition models, the buyer requirements are even more strict as Ferrari discourages purchases for investment purposes only.

The Italian brand however clarified that it only "reserves the right to decide on special editions or exclusive models," so the stars can still purchase the usual or should I say common series, production models.

Turns out the saying that goes "You don't own a Ferrari, Ferrari owns you," is true.
