Kenyan comedian Timothy Kimani popularly referred to as Njugush recently opened up about how his life's fortunes changed for the better after he welcomed his first-born Tugi.

Njugush has never been one to shy away from talking about his struggles and his journey to the top.

This time round though he was not talking about his relationship with his wife nor how she held him down through the rough patches. Rather he was praising his little boy, Tugi for the blessings that he brought to the family.

“In the Kikuyu language, Tugi comes from the word Utugi, which means the grace of God and to give someone something.

That’s where his name came from.

Before he was born, life was so difficult and when someone says mtoto hukuja na sahani yake (a child is born with its own blessings), it’s very personal to me proper.

Even Celestine (Njugush’s wife) can tell you when Tugi came, that was when everything started making sense,” Njugush said passionately.

He then went on to add that before Tugi he felt as if he was living hand to mouth, and nothing was truly panning out. The lifestyle he'd envisioned, and his hopes/ dreams were just not it at the moment.

“At some point, I had to sell my TV even when I already had a name in this industry and it wasn’t that I didn’t have money, but it was money I did not have at hand.

I was being paid but that money had a final destination like debts and so forth,” Njugush revealed.

Today, Tugi has his own social media presence and has practically already made a name for himself as he takes so much after his father when it comes to having a comedic bone.

At the tender age of just 4-years, Tugi's YouTube channel (Blessed Tugi) boasts over 141,000 subscribers. He does not have an Instagram account but he cameos in his parent's accounts and has quite a huge fanbase with people opening fan page accounts for him.
