Mumias East Mp Peter Salasia has boldly declared he is single and searching.
The new member of Parliament is among the youngest leaders elected to the 13th Parliament.
He is excited for his new job representing his voters. He told Mpasho on September 30 that "I have always wanted to be a leader, so the opportunity presented itself. "
He also has other political ambitions, adding that national politics excites him. "First, I see how I will deliver and God willing tuvuke. You never know some things just happen"
He is confident that he will pass the test and deliver great leadership to his constituents.
Over the weekend, the hunky MP opened up to Kenyans about the type of woman he is searching for, telling the Standard that he was an intelligent man who cannot be taken advantage of.
"Unajau mimi ni exposed bwana kwani mimi naweza kuja nipelekwe pelekwe hivi. Mimi ni mbunge, na unajua mimi nimeconvince watu huku sasa mi si mtu ...I'm a very intelligent person mwenye at dame anaweza come hapa hivo...hapana."
He added, "Mimi ni mstrong."
And what is the ideal type of woman that he would be willing to settle down with?
"I am looking for just a very prayerful woman, a lady, a very young girl, a very focused girl, a very supportive girl."
Salasia added one more important detail to his qualifications; "Just presentable, can she be able to speak. Are you able to speak? I'm telling you if you are able to speak, if I take you there?"
He also noted that Nairobi girls are different; "You know Nairobi girls love to stay in the city. Are you able to go to ushago? Twende tutafute kura?"
Reactions to his stated preferences interested quite a couple of ladies who were not too shy about placing their bid to be the First lady of Mumias East.
