The news comes after controversial social media comments Muhoozi made about capturing Nairobi with his army elicited sharp reactions in the past 24 hours.

Muhoozi has also since apologized to Kenya.

His comments nearly caused a diplomatic incident with the Kenyan Foreign Affairs CS nominee Alfred Mutua meeting with the Ugandan Foreign Affair representative to Kenya, in a closed door meeting.

Mr. Mutua later on tweeted that the meeting had been a success something the Ugandans reiterated.

"This morning I shared a social cup of tea with Amb. Dr Hassan Galiwango - Uganda High Commissioner to Kenya. We discussed interesting matters. Mambo iko Sawa."

President Ruto also touched on the matter this afternoon after attending the funeral of DP Rigathi's late brother.

The Head of State reaffirmed our countries role in the diaspora saying, "Kenya continues to occupy a place of respect in the community of nations."
