Kenyan artist Willy Paul has just launched claims that he has dethroned Tanzania's bongo artist Diamond Platinumz as the East African heavyweight champ when it comes to music.

Pozze claimed to be the real Simba following his latest achievement that he took to Instagram to brag about his over 2.3 million followers.

"Nani SIMBA sasa jameni? Pozze tu! (who is now the real lion? Only Pozze!)" Started off the "TOTO" hit-maker.

He went on tooting his own horn as he claimed to be the first ever East African artist to have a hit song treading all over Sub-Saharan Africa, a feat he claims has never been achieved.

"The first ever East African artist to have a banger all over SSA. Sub-Saharan African on Tik Tok.... with close to 1 million Tik Tok video challenges.

This is a big win fam!" Added the Kenyan artist.

In the screenshot photo that Pozze shared, his song "You" featured Gucci was titled number 3 in the most popular category.

He however didn't highlight the music-listening app where he'd gotten the charts from.

Also unlike his nature, he went on to disable the comment section probably knowing Kenyans would jump at the opportunity to troll him.

He went on to share another slide where he highlighted two Nigerian actors who had hoped into the challenge.

"The next slide has Nigerian actors (and these are legends) doing the challenge..." Pozze noted as he finished off by encouraging his fans to continue streaming his new music.

"Continue streaming and creating your videos for my song You ft Gucci #love," the last of the "Tamu Walahi" hit-makers post read.

On doing a little research I realized that the song which was released 2 months ago, on YouTube the song is currently trending at number 71 on the top music video and has over 1k YouTube shorts remixing the video.

It currently has over 2 million views and over 32 thousand likes.

When it comes to TikTok, the audio of the song has been used in over 640 posts which is really not a small feat.

However, do you agree with Pozze on this? Is he indeed the real Simba?
