On Monday evening, a photo of Congolese star Fally Ipupa with President Macron circulated across social media.

The two personalities can be seen shaking hands in a friendly manner at the Elysée Palace.

The meet-up between the two left many wondering what the purpose was.

It is alleged that the purpose of the meeting was to honor the Congolese artist and his contribution to promoting African music around the world.

Fally Ipupa is known for his collaborations with international artists such as Booba, MHD, and Olivia.

Emmanuel Macron has been the president of France since 2017.

The activists of Congo led by Kemi Seba under the Union of democracy and social progress were not pleased by the act as they claim it is France's strategy to instrumentalize the African artists.

They accused the French President of an attempt to show the African youth that French Neo colonialism can be our friend as they slowly spread their wings across Africa.

Kemi Seba is a political leader, French-Beninese writer, and a Geo-political journalist.

He is known for his fight against the French presence in francophone countries in the 21st Century.

It is however important to note that Fally Ipupa is a very committed and active artist in the social field. It is possible that the meeting was initiated to discuss humanitarian or development projects for Congo.

The Congolese singer, Fally Ipupa's house has been burned down by an angry mob of Congolese men.

This is after him accepting an invitation from the president of France, Emmanuel Macron.

A video is circulating across the social media platforms of his house being stomped into.

His vehicles appear to have been set on flames and a part of his house burned.

The windows to his house also appear to have been stoned down and items from the house stolen.Read Also:
