Ugandan army General Muhoozi Kainerugaba just as promised celebrated his 49th birthday a little differently from the pomp and lavishness that was seen last year when he was turning 48.

The Ugandan president's son turned 49 alongside Rwanda's President Paul Kagame and his family in the Rwandan State House in a private event.

For the festivities, Muhoozi ferried Uganda’s Minister of Security Maj Gen Jim Muhwezi Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Norbert Mao, Kitgum District woman MP among others.

Upon arrival, he was received in Kigali by Major General Willy Rwagasana, the Commander of the Republican Guard. The birthday boy looked dapper in a bespoke sky blue suit which he paired with a dark blue pin-dot tie finishing off the look with shiny polished black official shoes.

Taking to his socials to share highlights of how his birthday went down Muhoozi thanked President Kagame for hosting him as he relished over their great family ties.

"I want to thank President Paul Kagame, the First Lady of Rwanda and their family for the very warm reception my delegation and I received in their home on the occasion of my 49th birthday," the first part of the Ugandan General post read.

He went on to pray for their long stand relationship not just between their families but their nations as well.

Muhoozi finished off by writing, "long live the fraternal relations between Uganda and Rwanda. Rukundo Egumeho."

Before his celebrations in Rwanda the Ugandan army general hosted and attended a huge thanksgiving concert that was attended in thousands by his fellow countrymen.

Thanking Ugandans for showing up Muhoozi wrote, "a very big thank you to the great people of Kigezi for the massive turnout for the Rukundo Egumeho Thanksgiving and Concert!

You demonstrated genuine love for us, a big thank you too to the brothers and sisters from Rwanda who joined us. Rukundo Egumeho!"

Interestingly enough, last year the Rwandan President, H.E Paul Kagame was part of Muhoozi’s elaborate 48th birthday party.

The Rwandan Head of State actually flew into Kampala to be part of the celebrations that were held at the Ugandan State House.

Kagame is also said to have sent several bulls to Muhoozi as a birthday gift, wonder what he got him this year.
