Reality TV star/healthy lifestyle guru Kourtney Kardashian has had to put down a netizen who came for her over her choice to maintain her family name.
Kourtney got married to musical genius Travis Barker last year in Portofino, Italy in a star studded invite only event. Following the two tying the knot, people assumed Kourt would go the traditional way and drop her last name assuming her husbands but much to their dismay the entrepreneur still foes by her dads name Kardashian.
Following this, a netizen recently commented on Kourt's Instagram page pointing out the obvious, the mother of 3 hadn't dropped her maiden name.
The star had posted a picture of her renewed driver's license, which showcased her name as "Kourtney Kardashian Barker" as opposed to "Kourtney Mary Barker" (Mary is her middle name)
"You can't even give up the Kardashian name, should have just been Kourtney Barker", wrote a condescending troll accompanied by multiple laughing emojis.
The troll was indicating that the star wanted to remain affiliated with the powers and opportunities that come with the Kardashian name, thus refusing to drop it.
Kourtney, however, clapped back at her comment, saying, "I am Kourtney Barker, and my middle name is now Kardashian. It is a very traditional way of doing it".
Interestingly enough, the soon to be mother of 4 ain't the only one in her family who chose not to drop their dad's name even after getting married.
Her younger sister beauty mogul and fellow reality TV star Kim Kardashian arranged her name in the same order while she was married to Kanye West from 2014 to 2022.
The aspiring lawyer went by 'Kim Kardashian West', thereby replacing her actual middle name, 'Noel' just like Kourt did with hers (Mary)
