Controversial American rapper Doja Cat is feeling the heat of her most recent actions.
In less than 2 days the singer has lost over 230,000 followers on Instagram. This is after she savagely told off her fans maintaining that she doesn't love them.
Figures provided to Billboard by the Meta-owned company show that she lost 237,758 followers on Instagram (and counting) after her public spat with her fans
Additionally, Billboard reports that Crowdtangle said searches for the rapper’s name spiked by 82% after this.
Doja's following count currently sits at 25.6 million (which is a blow seeing as she was at 25.7 yesterday evening) the loss may not be that bad but she better have her fingers crossed that more fans don't join the bandwagon. And this doesn't affect her music sales.
On top of that her most popular fan pages, Doja HQ, The Kittens Room, and Doja Cat News have deactivated their accounts.
But the 27-year-old seems unfazed by the loss of numbers. She posted a couple of eerie photos on her Instagram account with an eyebrow-raising question.
"I'll be the biggest d*ck that you have ever haaaaad," the 'Woman' hitmaker post read.
Drama erupted when (in a series of now-deleted posts on Twitter and Threads) the sensational rapper went off on her fans for asking her for love and acknowledgment.
In the most notable threads post, Doja called her fans out saying, "My fans don't get to name themselves s**t.
If you call yourself a 'kitten' or f****** 'kittenz' that means you need to get off your phone and get a job and help your parents with the house".
She even went as far as to tell her supporters to delete their fan pages when they inquired about what they should change their social media handles to.
Doja went off saying, “Delete their entire account and rethink everything.” The rapper also told her fandom that she does not love them, rather harshly; after which she was reminded that she would be nothing without her fans.
