American-born Nigerian artist, entrepreneur, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido has left people stunned after he revealed his new rate card for shows.

The father of 4 made the revelation during a recent interview where he noted that his rate had gone up because he was tired of constantly being booked.

Davido maintained the fewer people could afford him the fewer monthly shows he'd perform at. Aspiring for when I'm rich enough that the thought of more money just tires me out.

In the interview, the 30-year-old entertainer candidly revealed his rate card after the interviewer asked him how many shows he does in a single month.

“I mean now I charge $600,000 per show (roughly about Sh. 86 million) so it is less actually. You feel me? Because the less people can pay, the fewer shows I will perform in a month,” replied the DMW label owner.

He hinted that currently he was looking at at least three or four shows per month and that wasn't a bad bargain for him as either way he was racking in millions.

"If I do 4 shows a month that is 2 or 3 million dollars," the multi-award winning Afro beats star noted.

His move suggests that he is working on trying to strike a balance between maintaining a manageable workload to avoid burnout and the incoming he is racking in.

It’s a move that other artists at his level have made to preserve their health and longevity in the industry.

Fans have been left conflicted following this revelation with some applauding him for knowing his worth and not settling for less while others shared their woes noting that now that his price had gone up ticket prices will be crazy meaning they can no longer attend his shows.

Davido's move signifies his jump from a local celebrity to a internatinal superstar, something that has been long coming seeing all the shows he has been headlining.
