Former Migos band member and multi-award-winning artist Quavious Keyate Marshall popularly known as Quavo has left fans super impressed after his latest meeting with the US Vice President Kamala Harris at the White House.

The 32-year-old American rapper met with the VP to advocate against gun violence following his nephew Takeoff’s death.

Beautiful to see Quavo turning his grief into action. The globally recognized rapper was joined by his mother and sister Titania Davenport, (the late Takeoff's mother), for the meeting.

Following their meeting, the vice president hailed Quavo for his efforts through an Instagram post.

“Thank you @quavohuncho, Edna, and Titania for using your voices to honor Takeoff’s legacy and call for action to prevent gun violence,” The Vice President beautifully wrote.

Replying to the post the Grammy-nominated artist expressed his immense gratitude thanking Kamala Harris for making time to see them.

“🙏🏾Thanks for everything #Rocket Power,” Quavo wrote.

Quavo expressed his desire for Congress to pass the Break the Cycle of Violence Act, which will enable gun violence to be treated as a public health risk similar to substance abuse and depression.

His recently launched Rocket Foundation was created to impact gun laws on both the state and federal levels, and Quavo seems to have specifically made the trip to Washington D.C to secure stronger political backing especially in under served areas.

The rapper firmly thinks gun violence is preventable.

During an appearance on ABC's Good Morning America, Quavo explained that he is working hard against gun violence so that others won't have to suffer the same tragedy that his family has endured since Takeoff's death.

"It could have been both of us gone. I look at this as, me being alive, I have to do this job and make sure everybody's aware that losing my nephew, you could be in the same position.

I think that all of us together is the key and we need help from [Capitol Hill]." The 'Nothing Changed' crooner said.
