Celebrated Nigerian recording and performing artist Michael Adebayo popularly known by his stage name, Ruger is not playing about his 2024 and the whole cutting off fake friends slogan.

The 'Red Flags' hitmaker through his Instagram stories revealed that 2023 had not been a good year for him (even though he dropped his first studio album then and garnered a lot of international recognition) owing to the fact that he had terrible company.

In the said post Ru acknowledged the people around him had affected his energy but he was over that as he had cut them all off.

"2023, I slacked. I had the wrong people around me and let them affect my energy. It got to a point that I didn't feel like Ruger anymore," started off the 24 year old artist.

He went on to add that as he ushered in the new year a lot in his life was going to change. Ruger highlighted that he was about to be a very selfish person moving forward.

"Anyways, I've left each and everyone of them in 2023. In 2024, I am a mad, dangerous, selfish and loving man," the last of his post read.

3 months ago the Afro beats star noted that contrary to popular belief he is a very spiritual person who doesn't hide his love for God even though people assume since he is an entertainer it makes him nonreligious.

He also dropped his first album since he broke into the music scene studio dubbed 'Ru The World' based off his real life.

The 17-track album features guest appearances from Kenya Grammy-winning superstar group Sauti Sol, Jamaican-British rapper Stefflon Don, Dancehall sensation Projexx, music production group Jugglerz, and singer Govanna.
