Multi-award-winning digital content creator, actor, and script writer Timothy Kimani popularly known as Njugush has revealed a drunkard helped him join campus.

During a sit down he had with Cleaning The Airwaves (CTA) podcast, the former Real Housewives of Kawangware actor recalled how he had struggled for a while almost to the point of giving up while looking for a University he could enroll in before a drunkard came to his rescue.

"How I went to college is a whole different story... after I had done acting for 8 months I was like this is dope but naah. So my dad told me, I need to get back to school.

He literally was like, 'ata mimi I didn't drop out in form 4, so lazima uende college. So why would you?'" the father of 2 candidly recalled.

Following the conversation he had with his dad, young Njugush embarked on a journey trying to find an affordable University offering a course in journalism as that is where his heart was at.

"After the talk I was like okay I'll go. So I started going to different Universities asking about their fee structure but it was crazy! All the schools I went to they were charging SH. 100, 000 plus and at I didn't tell my dad this.

Being a first born, I've always had this mentality 'aahh sitaki kusumbua mzae' but I know if I had told him he would have found the resources to take me to school," Njugush animatedly revealed.

He went on to recount how sad and depressed he was at this point as his dreams of pursuing journalism seemed so far away after the last school he checked told him per semester they charge Sh. 110k.

"I was so depressed, I didn't know what to do with my life. I remember I was in a matatu and I was seated next to a drunk person who kept on sluggishly leaning on me which irritated me a lot. Because at first, why are you drunk during the day?" the globally acclaimed comedian noted before adding little did he know this drunkard would turn out to be his guardian angel.

The guy seated next to Njugush identified himself as his neighbour as he proceeded to bombard him with personal questions which angered Njugush even more.

"He started talking and I felt like he was stressing me even more. I was just there with my papers all depressed and I'm wondering 'inakusumbulia nini'

So I decided I'm going to get up and switch seats, just as I was about to he said, 'have you tried KMC?'" Njugush said before adding at the moment the only KMC he knew was Kenya Meat Commission.

Turns out, the guy knew the principal at Kenya Institute of Mass Communication and had ties with the school which used to take only 20 students per semester.

"Do this, nipatie number yako... and all over sudden the drunkard started making sense. I was elated, we started talking and I was like jackpot!" Njugush said in between laughter.

Eventually everything worked out for young Kimani, the guy went above and beyond to help hook up Njugush with a position at Kenya Mass which helped build the man that Timothy Kimani is now.
