Nigerian singer and songwriter Joseph Akinwale famously known as Joeboy has officially set up his own record label shortly after leaving Mr Eazi's EmPawa Africa Records .

The 'Body&Soul' crooner announced the launch of his new record label dubbed 'Young Legend (LG) Record Label' via his Instagram page as he welcomed his fans to a new era in his musical career as he dons the hat of a music executive.

Joeboy also shared a short clip of  a ritual themed party  on his X account to announce his new baby.

The Nigerian afro pop artist had been signed up with emPawa Africa Records from 2017 after he was discovered by Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade better known as Mr Eazi .

Due to his contract with emPawa Joeboy could not open up his own record label but things have changed after his exit and transition after he signed a dual deal with Global music giant, Warner music which is home to superstars such as Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy and Cardi B just to mention but a few.

Apparently his new contract with Warner Music offers him a dual deal which allows him the right to launch his record label while still being their signee.

Joeboy's successful years under emPawa's wing saw him release 2 EPs (Love &Light as well as Body, Soul& Spirit) , 2 albums (Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic and Body & Soul) as well as a plethora of hit singles & features amassing over 2 Billion streams across major DSPs.

In his new label, 'Young Legend' the '24/7' crooner will act as the CEO while Deola Jaiyesimi will serve as the Head of label allocated the task of churning out the next set of superstars.
