President Ruto has sparked a debate on social media after being seen wearing a bomber jacket worth Ksh. 1.95 million.

Citizens have shared their thoughts saying it's extravagant as the country is going through a tough economic period and cost-cutting measures should be implemented.

 
 

But the President seems to be developing a more expensive taste in luxurious things.

This occurrence comes shortly after the controller of the Budget disclosed that the President had allocated 3.3 billion towards indulging in luxurious items.

President has developed a liking for some of the most expensive brands in the world.

Last year, the head of state was spotted wearing a matted crocodile leather belt with a gold buckle emblazoned ‘SR’.

The Stefano Ricci crocodile belt, one of the best and most expensive belts in the fashion world, goes for at least Sh425,000.

President William Ruto  was also seen wearing a luxurious rose gold watch from the brand Bvlgari on his right hand priced at €47,700.00, approximately sh8,294,577.57, this watch has gained attention for its elegance.   .

The Octo Finissimo watch, described as an edgy Italian-designed timepiece with Swiss engineering, features a satin-polished 18 kt rose gold case and bracelet, a brown lacquered dial with sunray finish, and is water resistant up to 100 meters.

 President Ruto  has also spent three times more than Uhuru on luxury ,where 14 billion on travel, 6 billon on hospitality, 3.3 on fuel and vehicle maintenance.

Comparing the president's spending and former president Uhuru Muigai, the is evident extravagancy on the president   Ruto spending.

The president and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua spent 9 billion  7 months into their term  and also requested the parliament for more.

Due to higher than target operations and maintenance.

 Spending on items with no value to the citizens and are mostly utilized by government officials rose by 6.9 billion.
