Kiss FM presenters Kamene Goro and Obinna are reacting to singer cum politician Bahati on his expensive political career.

In an interview with Millard Ayo, Bahati said he's used up to 33 million campaigning to become a Mathare North MP;

"I have spent approximately 33 million on my election campaigns. I get support from well-wishers. My budget on election day is 10 million. Campaigns for a Parliamentary bid seat cost more than 50 Million."

In his opinion, Obinna thinks Bahati had prepared more money for the campaign.

"Bahati has money," he said

Adding "The love of the people, you love people, you want to help the society. You know Bahati might have had a budget for 100 million. Maybe he had 50 and someone gave him 50 that's 100 million."

Asked by Kamene where he thinks the money was coming from, Obinna said;

"From Youtube channel, the music videos he's done. It is the love he has for people of Mathare.

Bahati won't even sleep in the house. he'll be preparing for tomorrow. By the time the election is over, he'd probably have used 60 million."

Bahati announced his interest to want to run for the Mathare Parliamentary seat in March this year.

Our biggest challenge as people from Mathare is that we have never received a leader who was born and raised in Mathare. We have been electing leaders but its time for Mathare to get a son who was born and raised In Mathare and understand the people."

In his announcement on social media, Bahati said it was a calling for him to vie for a political seat;

 “Our biggest challenge as people from Mathare is that we have never received a leader who was born and raised in Mathare. We have been electing leaders but its time for Mathare to get a son who was born and raised In Mathare and understand the people."

Bahati said people needed change to tackle the problems the y have been facing over and over again.

“We have been crying over and over again because of the same issues and you know if you rely on a visitor to lead you, they don’t know the struggles you go through,” Bahati noted.

Adding

"It's time to change my home, it is time to change my background and where I come from…that is why I am vying as Member of Parliament for Mathare constituency under the Jubilee ticket."
