Ati What! Obinna says after Nairobi ranked 5th wealthiest city in Africa

On today’s Morning Kiss, Chito and Obinna reacted to a new report that said that Nairobi was among the wealthiest cities in Africa, managing to overtake Durban in the process.

The two hosts agreed that whoever was conducting the survey didn't visit other parts of Nairobi.

“Vitu kwa ground ni different, you know this guys were taken huku valley road, wakaonyeshwa huku Malifi sur-burbs, wakapanda expressway and then they are like ‘oh my God Nairobi is a beautiful place’, Nairobi gani? it is a scam!” said Obinna as he hilariously imitated how a European man talks.

Chito added that, “Ama walienda Roysambu wakaona sponyo ako na apartment block tatu na ameweka 3 babes in 3 different apartments?"

"Apana, Roysambu haingepita , Mirema na penye watu wanauliwa," Interrupted Obinna who referenced an unfortunate incident of a shooting around Mirema.

Both argued out that the surveyors were taken to Kilimani, went through Lavington, then to Runda, back to Karen, and now the newly built expressway.

They claimed that the reporters weren’t taken to sites such as South B, Buruburu, Madaraka, and Nairobi West because such places have now become deserted.

Chito added Gachie but Obinna countered saying that there are two sides to the town, the rich side, and the poor side.

From the analysis, Nairobi landed in the fifth position because;

“Nairobi is the economic hub of East Africa and one of the fastest-growing cities in the world. Affluent parts of Nairobi include Runda Estate, Lavington, Kitisuru, Karen, and Muthaiga. Major industries there include financial services, real estate, tourism, media, clothing, textiles, processed foods, beverages, and cigarettes.”

Knight Frank, one of the biggest realtor companies around the world, also announced that they have a high base in Kenya compared to other countries in Africa.
