Insomniacs you can now breathe a sigh of relief, I am here to save you!

No seriously, I really think I might. I just came across a TikToker who made a video where he claimed that he can put someone to sleep in two minutes.

Can you imagine that? Entering the bed, not having to toss and turn, sing hymns, and offer burnt sacrifices so that you can get some shut-eye?

The Tiktok video created by Justin Agustin, a fitness trainer showcases a speedy sleep technique typically used in the military and it has been watched over 10 million times and has over 11 thousand comments.

In the video, Justin explained that 96% of people who actually get to master the technique can fall asleep within two minutes at any time, anywhere they are regardless of their surroundings or noise.

He explained that according to his research the technique was mainly developed for fighter pilots.

Now onto the 2-minute sleep steps.

According to Justin, the first step is taking several deep breaths as you consciously tune yourself to relax every part of your body.

Start with the forehead then every other part of your head to the shoulders. Trying to lose the tension in your shoulders then hands and arms.

"First you need to calm your body and systematically shut down every part of your body from head to toe. Relax your shoulders, drop them low and keep your arms loose by your side.

Imagine this warm sensation running down from your head all the way down to your fingertips

Take a deep breath and slowly exhale, continue relaxing your body from your chest, your stomach all the way to your toes," Justin advises.

Calming one's mind is the next step in this viral technique. Yeah, that's not a big deal at all (laughs in over-thinker).

To help achieve this you're to imagine one of these scenarios either, Lying in a canoe on a calm day in calm waters or lying in a black velvet hammock in a pitch-black room. If you're distracted, repeat the words *don't think* for 10 seconds," Justin says.

Now here is the catch, in order for you to master this sleep-inducing method, you're supposed to practice the technique every night for 6 weeks in order for your body to ease into it and for you to perfectly master the art of falling asleep within two minutes.

It's a fascinating approach as in my opinion telling your brain not to think is guaranteed to make it actually think. And aren't you thinking about not thinking as you do this?

Have you come across this video or given it a try?

Let me know your thoughts and if you're on board with the six weeks trial of conquering your brain or if you'd rather stick to rain or ocean wave sounds to help with the sleep.
