Harmonize ecstatic after featuring in US Vice President's music playlist

Sauti Sol’s Bien Aime Baraza is the only Kenyan musician on the list through a collaboration he did with Tanzania’s Darassa dubbed “No Body”.

Tanzania's bongo artist Harmonize has taken to his Instagram page to celebrate his most recent win... a big acknowledgment from the Vice President of the United States of America.

Kamala Harris, the US vice president posted a list of 25 songs that she has been listening to in the past few months on Spotify that she dubbed as her travel playlist, and Harmonize's hit song 'Single Again' was among her top 10 favourite songs by African artists.

Reacting to the news Konde Boy whose song ranked eighth on the list of favourite songs of the American vice president responded by thanking Kamala Harris for identifying special talents from the African continent.

Taking to his Instagram page he posted a screenshot of Kamala's travel playlist accompanied by a few videos of US military soldiers jamming to the tune.

As well as a photo of the Vice President.

 "So overwhelming for the USA Vice President Kamala Harris to recognize the talents of Africa. It is very exciting," Harmonize wrote in his Instagram post.

The elated Bongo artist went on to gush over the good relationship between the United States and Tanzania while welcoming the vice president to the East African country.

"The relationship between Tanzania & the United States is one of our pride. Please feel at home when you come to visit. It is a great honour, #the Single Again, " the last of his post read.

The vice president's "My Travels" playlist has a diverse range of artists as she travels through Ghana, Tanzania, and Zambia.

The list has been dominated by Tanzanian artists as far as the East Africa space is concerned. Those on the list from Tanzania are; Zuchu, Harmonize, Jay Melody, Juma Jux, Marioo, Alikiba, Mbosso, and Darassa

Kamala Harris arrived in Ghana on Sunday (March 26) for her first trip to Africa while in office. She will then proceed to visit Tanzania on Wednesday followed by Zambia on Friday before returning to the U.S. on Sunday.
