Lang'ata Member of Parliament and former comedian Jalang'o has reinstated his former groundsman Eli Omundu who stole Sh. 1 million from him.

I know what you're thinking because same. The legislator made it public that he had forgiven Eli and was giving him a second chance through his YouTube channel.

In the episode, the former Kiss FM radio host interviewed the groundsman who narrated how he and a former colleague Morrison Litiema, conspired to steal from Jalas.

At this point, this should be a K-drama.

Eli recounting details of that unfortunate day narrated how they were working when Litiema noticed the cash in their boss's BMW. He maintains Litiema took the money and ran forcing him to flee as well as he was scared.

"I was washing the Discovery while Morisson was cleaning the BMW and the money was in the BMW," started off Eli.

Then slowly added;

"I noticed the gate was open and I was like now where has my brother gone off to? So I also left and while I was in the process of looking for him I was told we'd been posted all over social media. I got scared and I couldn't go back, I had to hide because I was afraid of being lynched,"

Eli maintains Morisson wasn't greedy as he equally divided the stolen cash between the two of them after Eli caught up to him.

"When I caught up with him we were like what have we done? It wasn't intentional just a spur-of-the-moment thing but it had been done. So we decided to split it in half and disappear," Eli told his boss.

On how he fled from Nairobi to Bungoma, Eli revealed he bribed a driver ferrying imported vehicles from Mombasa to Uganda.

Before adding how the half a million that he got from the theft didn't help him because he spent most of the cash bribing people to buy their silence so that they couldn't sell him out to the police.

"When you make a stop anywhere because people now know my face I had to give out whatever amount they asked for. Being on the run isn't easy," Eli said.

And that's when the regret started creeping in. He maintains it was such a horrible experience as he couldn't even enjoy that money out of fear both of being caught and stolen from by citizens.
