Rapper Kanye West has revealed that he asked former US president Donald Trump to be his running mate.

This come days after announcing his bid to run for the US presidential seat come 2024.

Say what you will but Ye's confidence will forever be unmatched and in as much as he says and does some crazy things his ambition is admirable.

In a video posted on his Twitter page captioned #YE24, Kanye went on about how Trump was caught off guard by his request and immediately got offended to the point of apparently insulting Kanye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

“I think the thing that Trump was most perturbed about, was me asking him to be my vice president. I think that was like lower on the list of things that caught him off-guard," the father of 4 remarked.

He then added, “He basically gave me this would-be mob-esque kind of story,” explaining that the twice impeached president insulted ex-wife Kim Kardashian with an expletive phrase that was bleeped in the video.

"He then yelled at me you’re going to lose,” Kanye said in his usual nonchalant nature before adding, "I'm like, hold on Trump, you're talking to Ye."

Businessman Donald Trump in a brief statement on Truth Social confirmed that Ye showed up for Thanksgiving, but said the meeting, although “unexpected,” was “quick and uneventful.”

Trump wrote, “this past week, Kanye West called me to have dinner at Mar-a-Lago.

Shortly thereafter, he unexpectedly showed up with three of his friends, whom I knew nothing about, we had dinner on Tuesday evening with many members present on the back patio. The dinner was quick and uneventful. They then left for the airport.”

Four days ago, American rapper and entrepreneur turned politician Kanye ‘Ye’ West declared his 2024 Presidential bid.

Kanye made his announcement, days after former US President Donald Trump confirmed that he will also be running for Presidency come 2024.

Ye confirmed his candidature through an interview he did with Consequence of Sound.

“Yes… it's simple…it’s just we are moving toward the future,” Kanye West was quoted by the Consequence of Sound.

Ye further revealed that he had entrusted British alt-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos to handle his campaign.

The award-winning rapper ran for president back in 2020 but received less than 70,000 votes, landing in eighth place
