The victimization of gun violence

Takeoff, Nipsey Hussle, XXXTentacion, AKA, and Shinzo Abe are all examples of victims of gun violence. 

28-year-old Takeoff, an American rapper was shot in Huston, Texas after an altercation occurred. 

Nipsey also an American rapper was shot outside his store in Los Angeles after he was confronted by a man. 

XXXTentacion another American rapper was gunned down in a robbery in South Florida. 

Shinzo Abe Japan's longest-serving prime minister was shot while he was giving his campaign speech, and the most current firearm victim, AKA a South African rapper gunned down in Durban. 

Gun violence is a tragedy that is facing humanity.

At least 500 people die every day from gunfire, and even though it is a global issue it mostly affects people of color or marginalized groups.

Could easy access to firearms be the reason why gun violence is rampant in the world? For someone to be able to get close to prominent figures and pull off such a stunt, they must really have the desire to do so. 

The state is mandated to exercise the control of firearms to reduce the risks of such incidents. What are the policies that are put in place to prevent gun violence and how have these policies worked to create a safe living environment? 

Victims and families of those affected by gun violence can undergo traumatic psychological effects as well as develop a sense of insecurity.

Given that this has never happened in learning institutions, it has also affected children and their safety negatively.

Many groups have been formed on social media platforms to support those affected by gun violence as well as create awareness of the underlining issue. 

Everyone deserves to live in a safe environment where they are protected from the risks of gun violence.
