Maria actress Dorea Chege got engaged three weeks ago in a splendid and emotional proposal put together by her long-term boyfriend Dj Dibul and now the man is tooting his own horn.
The proposal happened during her birthday and in videos shared on the YouTuber's social media accounts Dj Dibul could be seen getting down on one knee with a ring on his finger in a video captured inside the lavish event.
A month later, in an interview with Nairobi News, the Kikuyu Dj revealed that the gorgeous ring his fiance is currently rocking did set him a couple of thousands back.
On how much the ring cost Dj Dibul said;
"Well that I won’t exactly say, but I can assure you it’s an expensive ring, I bought it from Dubai," the Dj candidly said trying to be coy about the moment as his girl was right by his side.
However, the interviewer wasn't letting the topic slide that easily. On pressing the matter further Dibul finally caved and divulged a few details.
"Okay fine... I mean just so that we let this rest...." the Dj started off before sheepishly adding, " just know I coughed more than Sh50,000 for that piece.”
Dibul said, not giving the exact price but giving us an estimate of how far he went to swoon his woman.
On if they had yet set a wedding date following the engagement, Dj Dibul revealed that they were not in a rush and were planning on enjoying the moments as they came.
He made it clear that he is totally looking forward to marrying Dorea, something he is sure of, just that he doesn’t know when.
“I don’t want to rush because I want to follow all the process until we get there. Proposing was the first step though.” The Dj said.
Dibul also revealed that the two would be flying to Dubai for a full week to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Explaining the significance of their getaway, the Dj revealed that the two had been so busy that they hardly had any time to themselves but now that an opportunity had presented itself they were planning on taking full advatage of it.
"I felt we badly needed this trip just to be alone with her and I . Since we went public with our love life so much has been happening.
Besides, we have been so busy getting little time to spend together. The trip will offer us quality time together as we plan our future,” DJ Dibul explained.
