Mombasa-based preacher pastor Ezekiel has sponsored a girl who was working in a quarry to raise school fees after scoring 405 marks in KCPE exams.

The 14-year-old could not proceed to High School as she had no financial means to the disappointment of her teachers and her family.

Sera's former headmistress Constance Kanze disclosed that the man of God reached out to her and paid the fees after a local blog shared the girl's plight.

 "He actually paid for the four years, a total amount of KSh 314,589. The girl will now join Form One on Tuesday, February 21," she said.

The headteacher at Bandacho Primary School revealed that she had knocked on enough doors for the girl in vain.

"I have tried enrolling her name into different scholarships but none came through for her. The last one she was sent away on the last day and she came home crying," Kanze stated.

According to the educator, both Sera's mother and father are jobless, so the family survives on meager wages from the quarry.

Adding;

"What they get from the quarry is just for food, and you see you cannot sell those stones every day given that there is stiff competition from others doing the same business," she continued
