The hustle is sometimes you may have pieces of equipment in your house but don't know how to fully utilize them, case in point the Microwave.
This device is multipurpose but most assume its functionality is only heating meals. Below are a few extra uses and hacks for your microwave.
1. Reheating leftovers
How do you reheat cold leftover food such as pizza without making them dry or tasteless?
Here is the hack; put a glass of water in the microwave beside the meal you are warming for a minute.
The water helps in adding moisture to the air inside the microwave which prevents the food from drying out.
2. Peeling garlic
Peeling garlic can be super annoying, first, there is the smell then it is all sticky with thin skin that takes time to peel off.
Here is a hack, heat the garlic in the microwave for not more than 15 seconds. The heat will draw out the moisture from the garlic clove which gets trapped between the skins and loosens it. Once you take it out, the skin will easily come off, and voila easy peasy.
3. Are onions making you cry? Try this​
Before you start chopping them go ahead and trim off the ends then heat them in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Your eyes will be saved from the stinging sensation while you chop the onions merrily.
4. Have your potato chips become soggy?
Did you leave a bag of your favorite crisps open and now they've lost their crunchiness? No one wants soft crisps to fret not though, place the crisps on paper towels and set them in the microwave. Heat them for about 10-20 seconds. The paper towels will absorb the moisture from the crisps and they'll turn crispy again.
