Award-winning Canadian singer/ songwriter, actor and record producer Drake seems to have reignited his long-standing beef with American artist and fashion mogul Kanye West with his upcoming song.

The Toronto-born rapper teased a new song titled “Rescue Me” in which he samples audio of Ye's ex-wife reality TV star Kim Kardashian talking about her divorce from Kanye in the 2021 series finale of  their hit show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

It appeared as though the duo had smoothed things over in 2021 after they joined forces on stage at a special 'Free Larry Hoover' concert but that doesn't seem to be the case.

“I didn’t come this far just to come this far and not be happy. Remember that,” partway through the track Kim's voice can be heard saying. The specific audio Drake chose was from an episode where Kim was narrating to her mom Kris Jenner when she realized she didn't want to be married to the "Heartless" hitmaker.

Throughout the tune, Drake lyrically details how he will whisk away a damsel in distress and treat her to a life of luxury. Another jab at Ye clearly as Drake and Kim had been rumoured to have an affair sometime back.

Kim however denied the speculation, and her then-husband confirmed the two never had a dalliance.

However, the father of 4 did accuse the “Nice for What” rapper of acting like he slept with his ex-wife

“You acted like you did, It’s like somebody throwing a marble and hiding their hand,” Ye said on “Drink Champs” in November 2021.

This isn't the first time Drizzy D is throwing shade at Ye, back in 2021 amid their then feud, Drake had more than a few words to say about Kanye West on his new album Certified Lover Boy.

In the song “7 Am on Bridle Path,” Drake appeared to throw immense shade at his longtime frenemy, especially Kanye's musical career.

“You over there in denial / We not neck and neck / It’s been a lot of years since we seen you comin’ correct / Man, f a respectfully, I just want my respect,” raps Drake.

He continued, “That’s why your people not believers, they all leavin’ ya / You know the fourth level of jealousy is called media."

He also appears to respond after Kanye shared the address of his Toronto home with his Instagram followers.

“Give that address to your driver / Make it your destination / Instead of just a post out of desperation,'” Drake rapped.
