Award-winning breakout star Ice Spice's younger brother has left netizens in stitches and waves of pity after he revealed he gets trolled for being related to the 'Munch (Feeling U') hitmaker.

Pretty weird, right?

The 24-year-old's younger brother, Joey Gaston is a high school quarterback who’s the starter for New York’s highly-touted Iona Prep, and since his sister blowing up his games haven't been the same anymore.

Speaking during an interview with Complex, Joey got candid about how it was being related to an overnight star with millions of followers across the globe.

For most, it'd be amazing! A doorway for your own success like with the Kardashians or Cardi B and her younger sister but for Gaston, it's not always a bed of roses.

“I’m a really proud younger brother. She created a path that makes me want to work harder. It’s like damn, I see what she’s doing now and it makes me want to do even more," started the 17-year-old.

He went on to add that although it's a swell feeling being related to a celebrity there are hiccups along the way. Especially considering they are teens.

So during his games, there is always constant taunting and trolling from opponents and fans alike.

He went on to highlight how the defensive ends love to troll after scoring saying, “‘You thought I was feeling you?’

"They give me a little line or whatever, and it just adds to the competitiveness because I’m like, ‘Watch what’s going to happen next play?’" The 17-year-old told Complex.

And that is not all Joey Gaston also says he sees fans wearing curly orange wigs the colour of his sister’s hair when they're on the bleachers.

Narrating his latest incident he said;

"I was playing in the semifinals of the playoffs, second half we're getting ready to go on the field, I hear the student section like, 'all right, he's coming, he's coming.'

They start clapping and saying 'we love Ice Spice' *clap clap* 'we love Ice Spice. Next drive, I threw a touchdown and I went to the sidelines and I started clapping," said the young man in between smiles. Clearly not taking any of it seriously.

Joey noted that all this fuels him and makes him go off even harder when he's in the field.
