Media personality and public relations (PR) guru Cynthia Nyamai had an unfortunate day during her trek for Mombasa to Nairobi for a charity walk dubbed #488 for Kibra.

Cynthia who is on a journey to walk for 488 kilometres and a mission to raise Sh66.6 million for the construction of a football stadium and ablution facilities for both girls and boys at Olympic Primary School and the Kibra community suffered a heat stroke leading her to lose her bearing and fall down.

The TV presenter took to Instagram to share with her over 63.6k Instagram followers an update on her health following the scare. She thanked the heavens that she was not walking too close to the road as that would have been catastrophic.

On her page, she shared a picture of her torn pants highlighting the cloth got shredded following her fall from the heat stroke due to the unbearably hot weather in Mombasa.

"Today I suffered a heat stroke and fell. I lost my bearing for a few minutes but I'm grateful that I was not walking too close to the road. It felt strange losing control of my body but I saw the hand of God," part of her post read.

She went on to send her gratitude to all those who had kept her in her prayers highlighting she was feeling and doing so much better now.

Cynthia maintained after rest she'd get back on course as she was determined to cover the 488 kilometres in hopes of raising the targeted amount of money.

"Thank you so much for your prayers. It really makes a difference. Tomorrow we hit another 42 km to Kibwezi, we know He has gone ahead of you. You can send your donation to till 8126274 #488 for Kibra," the last of her post read.

A few hours later she shared a post of herself noting that she could see all the positive comments coming her way and she received them with a grateful and full heart.

Cynthia started her journey on December 1 at the crack of dawn. Sharing her project with netizens she noted they were looking to raise Sh. 66.8 million.

She went on to plead with people not to mistake her with a mad person if they saw her in the middle of the road practising simple hygiene practices. 

"6:20am almost getting to 10km. We are looking to raise Sh66,680,000 to build a multipurpose pitch at Olympic Primary.

The works involves construction of a football stadium facility complete with bleachers all round the pitch, teams changing for both boys and girls, ablution facilities for both girls and boys, stadium lighting, drainage facilities, anti-climb fencing around the pitch, complete marking of pitch to approval, pitch accessories including goal posts etc. Kindly escort me today as we complete another 40km!" Finishing up she added;

"If you see a woman showering in the middle of the road, kindly she's not crazy. It's just too hot in Mombasa and I have to cover 40km everyday. I have children in Kibra who must have a new pitch by end of December."
